Blessings we enjoy daily, and for the most of them, because they be so common, men forget to pay their praises.
Izaak Walton

As I sit here..in my home in Henderson I am marveled by all of our acquaintances, friends and church family. I have enjoyed the last 20 minutes reading some of their blogs. I am reminded of all of the troubles that our family is facing and then I realize that this is "small stuff' in comparison to others.

I know that the ups and downs we go through in life make us stronger individuals. I feel that the bonds we have created with people and our community have made us grow stronger in our faith. I have a real sense of appreciation for the life that has been given to me. I want to stand on a high hill and shout to everyone how much they have meant to me in the past 6 years and how I have loved living in Henderson. I want to thank those who have played an important role in my life and my children's lives. Thank you, Thank you!

As I step down from my soap box...remembering that I am not a writer..... I have to say one more thing.
Be thankful for what you have. Be thankful for blessings in dsiguise that may take you down another path. Be thankful for your family and friends and let them know how much they mean to you. Always pray for others.

I am so thankful for Pete...who is in NYC looking for a new job. I am blessed to be married to a man that wants the best for his family. Thank you Petey! I love you.

Blessings!

I think you are a writer, you just don't know it yet :) I love what you wrote and I'll do my best to remember this during our travels.

Shannon and Pete,

Know that your family will be sorely missed when you move. Your new hometown will be richer when you arrive.
