UNSTABLE NO MORE
_________________________

You gave me a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.
-- Psalm 18:36 (NRSV)

In the face of lifes unsteadiness, I need security. So let the world fall. Let circumstances pull the rug from beneath my feet. God, my rock, is stable and untiring. With the trust of a child, I can rest on this truth. Otherwise I am rendered helpless and useless. Psalm 31:3 says the Lord is "my rock and my fortress." If I feel unstable, I can cling to that rock. God, my sure foundation, never moves and is the rock on which I can rest my life.

Prayer: O God, when the sands of life shift, be our steadiness. When trouble comes, be our fortress. Amen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When we lose our balance, God's love steadies us. -- Kathleen E. Bracher (Hessen, Germany)

PRAYER FOCUS: Those whose lives are unstable

I'm glad you posted this. Daily Upper Room readings have helped me greatly. Without my relationship with God, I dread to think how we might have emerged from this challenge in our lives.

God's plan for us really is much better than anything we could ever imagine :)
