Below is the unfinished book of Lucy. I still have to find her puppy pictures to put in the front (pages without pictures), but I wanted to share her book with you.
There are so many pictures and I am afraid that they are out of order in this blog. I was inspired by the colors of the interior of our home in Henderson when I chose the paper. Something even more special to the boys.
For anyone who has lost a dog you will understand why I made this book. Sam and Riley love it and it was meant for them. Losing a dog is hard, but feeling your children's pain is worse. My hope was to give the boys something that they can look back on and remember all of the good things about our girl, Lucy.
Enjoy.

Wow. That's great Shannon. Just a very very nice thing for the boys to have.
Shannon, that is beautiful! It's almost like you get the chance to know her. I wish i could have had that chance. This is a great way to keep the memories alive.
I thought so too. Thanks to the both of you.
Can you keep a secret. WE are taking about coming home for Christmas.....it's a surprise to my family.
I think i just lost my breath.

wake me up.
of course we can keep a secret.
made me cry for her all over again. what a perfect way to keep her safe and sound in your hearts.you are such a thoughtful and talented mommy!! love to you all.
also--if you are shorter on time and want to skip the scrap clean up--i have been trying digital scrapping. i purchase the papers and embellishments online and then lay them out on a publisher program. then print them and put them in the book! i like it b/c i can reuse all the stuff over and over. if i had time--i could even decorate my blog with it!www.scrapgirls.com is where i've gotten some stuff. check it out!
Thanks. I will take a look. As I was hesitant to go on the retreat because I am not a "scrapbooker". It was nice, but I have a hard time sitting still for too long. This book took me a long time and had I not been away it would never have been started or completed.
