FOR THE RECORD, JANUARY 28, 2008...IT'S BALMY.
I woke up to a temperature of 34 degrees. Wow, we haven't seen numbers like this in a while. It's only going to get warmer...up to 40 today. Maybe I have acclimated a little to this cold weather, but I was plenty warm and kind of sweaty when I ran outside this morning. I layered up with two running pants, two running shirts, a sweatshirt and gloves. The snow packed trail had some spots of pavement showing and my up hill run proved to be a little slushy. All in all it was so good to be outside breathing fresh air.
When I got home I quickly got out the snow shovel and shoveled the walk and the deck. Played outside with Osa and took some dieing garland off of my front door. I took chicken out of the freezer that I plan to grill outside while I have the chance. I'm sure my neighbors will think I am crazy:) I am so tempted to put up my spring wreath today just for kicks, but that would be pushing it a bit..... the temperatures are going to get back down to the teens by Wednesday and it will be me again running on the track and the treadmill.
Spring, please come soon!
This is a pic from a trip to the Dominican Republic. We are planning another one soon! I'm ready for a warm place, sun in my face and sand between my toes.
