I pictured Riley's first time of riding his bike similar to Sam's first time. You know....running behind the bike coaching and encouraging them all the way.

Well, guess what? Not Riley and No Hallmark moment for mommy.

I was taking a small break, sitting on the couch in front of the picture window. All of a sudden I see Riley zoom by on a pink bike without training wheels. I immediately jumped off the couch, ran outside yelling whoooo hooooo all the way. I'm sure the neighbors think I'm some nut.

Pete had just gotten home form work and heard me celebrating. He quickly changed and went out to see for himself. Shortly there after Riley's training wheels were off his bike and he was riding, without any help what so ever.

Guess what....he has two loose teeth. Oh boo hoo, boo hoo.
My baby needed me a little less today and it kills my heart in a good way.

shannon, how freakin' funny is that. i cracked up when they just duped their bikes and grabbed the other.
that is hilarious, and, yes, sad (definitely more funny than sad, though). but, do you want to know what is even sadder??? we have bought katherine 3 bikes, and she refuses to get on them and learn!!!
love you,
d
ps. that first video is priceless!!! don't you just love it...

Listen to Pete--"Don't go too fast..."! We taught the boys by running down the sidewalk on Main St.! It was really a kid milestone!
Go Riley!!!!! It's true about Katherine never riding a bike...That girl!!

That is fantastic and so funny.
My son took ages to learn to ride his bike (lots of bruises too!!).
They do grow up so fast ~ I think that every time I look at my 2 children!!
