What do you think?
I see many people with Tattoo's these days.
I guess for many they have a desire to wear their beliefs, likes, loves, etc. literally on their sleeves, legs, and backs.....
For instance, my husband has a tattoo on his ankle for completing an Ironman Triathlon.
We are so proud of him for accomplishing this race because it's "kind of a big deal". He trained for this race for a very long time, sometimes out on his bike for 6 plus hours, not to mention the swimming and running. An Ironman race consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 marathon. Yeah......140.6 miles total all under the deadline of 17 hours. One year later he finally got up the nerve to get the "Tat".
This brings me to think about a conversation I had with a friend in regards to wearing symbols of Christianity.
Tell me.....does wearing a Cross around our neck, an Icthus on our car, the cross hanging on your wall or getting scripture tattooed on our bodies define us to others as followers of Christ?
What's your belief's on this?
* Here's mine......I hope that when you meet me you not only see the Cross I sometimes wear around my neck that symbolizes my Christian Marriage, the Icthus on my checks used for paying my bills, but rather when you speak to me and get to know me that you will know I am a Christian...through my acts and through my words.

hey, s:)
Jesus asked of us, "remember Me". i would hope that any symbol of Christianity would serve as a reminder rather than a label because if it serves as a label it puts expectations that can never be met on the flawed human sporting the symbol.
love,

Dani,
Yes...anything that can be a constant reminder of him is a good thing!!!!!!!!!
I think you know how I feel about this subject. I love BOTH of my tats. I went through pain for a couple of hours and it was totally worth it! I am constantly reminded of who I am serving. Thank you for thinking about this subject...when are you getting yours and where?????
Much love from nasty old Hendo, trashy and tattooed.
