25 Random things about me.

1. I grew up in a small town on the Indiana/Illinois State Line. I lived 13 miles out in the county closer to Indiana, but went to high School in IL. I'm a small town country girl through and through, but can fake it ok in the big cities. I feel more connected to Henderson, KY than anywhere and miss my friends and church family very much.

2. My passion/obsession as a child was horses. After SMWC I moved to Eastern KY where I held the position of Equestrian Program Director...A.K.A farm manager...manure scooper, hay baler, tractor driving, camp director, tired little girl. I realized it was hard work and would probably end up getting old before my time. I miss it sometimes.

3. I met the love of my life in Columbus OH. I know this is a second thought, but I truly believe in Angels and that God has a plan for each one of us.

4. I wasted my entire High School years on 1 boy. I don't hate him, but looking back I would have dated around. I let my relationship come before my grades. Stupid Girl Stuff!!!!!!!
I often wonder though if things had been different would I be where I am today.

5. I wanted to be a body builder.

6. I have been coon hunting and deer hunting. I have shot and killed animals that I did not eat. At the time it was nothing but a challenge to prove to myself that I can do anything b/c I am very competitive...very! I've ridden horses bareback by moonlight in the Daniel Boone National Forest so... Don't ever tell me that I cannot do something physically.... cause I'll prove to you and myself that I Can!
Whew....I need to settle down.

7. The most important wish for my children is to grow up to be respectable Christian men/husband and to have a home with the Lord in the end. I love my boys more than anything!

8. I absolutely love my Husband and he is my best friend. I enjoy his company! I look forward to doing new things this summer with him. We like to ride bikes, camp and canoe. I just wish he didn't have to work.... It really cut's into my playtime.
He and I never argue...and yes it's healthy. Don't sweat the small stuff I say!

9. I adore my parents and now that they are 11.5 hours away it makes it very hard on the boys and me. I will call my mom 3 times a day and not think anything about it. I'm the baby in a family of six kids and I guess I play the part well.

10. I grew up with sort of a Brady bunch family. My father is 14 years older than my mother, had 4 children of his own. My Mother had a daughter and the two of them produced me...the love child.

11. I have a brother who is Bipolar. Sometimes I wonder if I am Bipolar. j/k

12. I was a nerd in High School voted most Artistic my Senior Year. Yep.... I know what you’re thinking. You can't believe I was a nerd because now I'm so cool. Ha! I wore glasses AND braces my entire High School career. Thank Goodness I blossomed later!!!! Or at least I think I did.

13. I've had cosmetic surgery.... mandibular osteotomy setback. I would have liked a boob job much better:)

14. My biggest fear is of my children being hurt. I hate bears, alligators, and big cats. I fear that my children or I may be eaten by any of them. Crazy I know. These are things I think of when running wooded trails. It could happen!

15. I am the biggest sap when it comes to Romantic comedies and books. Therefore I have read every Nicholas Sparks book written and have loved and cried over every single one. My favorite movie is The Holiday.

16. I love love love me some trashy gossip mags. I love to read them on road trips. I take pride in my ability to finish the pop culture cross word puzzles.....the only ones I can do.
I also watch Days of Our LIves. (while reading this try to imagine my voice as Joy's from the show Earl)

17. I can't explain in words my relationship with Jesus Christ. I love the man who died for me and I want someday to sit next to him. I love the song I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me.
I live my life trying my best to be like him. By the grace of God.... I will sit next to him one day.

18. This is harder than I thought it would be. I need a nap!

19. I love teaching my cycling class. I love being in front of the class, barking out orders and pushing everyone to their limit. All it takes is for someone to tell you to climb harder and faster to be able to do it. I love what cycling does for the legs. I love my YMCA!

20. I love Lazy Friday nights when Pete get's home from work. We all get in our jammies and have family movie nights with the boys. We do this a lot in the winter.....and it seems likes it's been winter forever. In the summer we spend time on the back deck and usually end the night with s'mores.

21. I love having a cold beer after a long run. I don't like having it at home. I must be sitting on a patio somewhere. I love sundress, flippies, and usually with chips and salsa when I drink my one beer. I prefer imported beer over domestic.

22. I can't eat anything without feeling guilty. Maybe someday I will get over this.

23. I adore my family. Maybe I have said this before, but they mean everything to me.

24. I show English Labradors. I've traded in showing horses for dogs since we live in the burbs.

25. I'm wondering if I've fulfilled all of the requirements of these 25 things and hope it wasn't too boring.
