Well, It's Monday. Another day in San Hendro Valley. I spent the entire day indoors, with the exception of going to Lowes for a switch plate. This was an exciting adventure. It took us an hour to find them. When I say us I mean Riley and I. Riley loves to shop at Lowes because they have these carts that look like race cars. Lowes is like going to McDonalds without the food. Riley spent several minutes riding all of the lawn tractors. We spent even longer touching all of the soft rugs. Our rug shopping was cut short by his sudden urge to go to the Rest Room. Did you know that Lowes has the coolest automatic faucets around...according to a 4 year old. This is why our trip took over an hour. Let's just say that Riley's hands are very clean.
Rain, Rain. I hate it. This is why we stayed at home today. It made it easier to clean house and do laundry knowing that we couldn't be doing something better. Riley and I enjoyed a quiet lunch....No T.V. today. I took it away from the boys yesterday. Amazingly he was ok with it. Riley played with his cars and entertained himself with music.
2:30 came early and we picked Sam up from School. Sam was so excited when he got in the car. He could not wait to tell us that he lost a tooth while sitting in a semi circle on the carpet.
I asked Sam what was his teacher’s reaction. Sam said that she told him to run to the bathroom, she didn't want blood on the carpet. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in his first grade class. Sam also told me that Macey kissed Craig today in P.E. Craig didn't see it coming. Gross!
Not much left in our day besides getting dinner and waiting for daddy to get home from work. Waiting for daddy starts as soon as he walks out the door. It makes for a long day, but never a dull day with two boys.
I will say that I feel blessed that I had the mundane Monday things to do today!
