HOT
Hot temperatures, high humidity, no water, and getting lost does not make for a good run....usually, but today I made it worth while.
I started out on my little run and was really getting into it, enjoying the new scenery and just basically doing what I usually do "rubber neck". That's when I guess I passed my road. I saw the sign for 144th st...then 145th street and thought to myself wheres 140...my road.
OH well.....I grabbed a trail and headed in the direction I thought was towards home and came across the Barbara Savinak Trail that runs through my backyard. Yeah! I made it home.
It was so hot I did something I never do. I removed my running top and ran in a sports bra. Thankfully the trail runs through the woods so the chances of seeing anyone where slim.
I hit the shower as soon as I got home and 20 minutes later I'm sitting in my kitchen (as I type) and I am still sweating. I NEVER DO THIS. It's hot.
Anyway, the boys are at the park for a little organized fun with the parks and recreation system here. I guess this is why are taxes are so high, but I don't mind because Sam and Riley are having a great time. Tomorrow they go on a field trip to Cave and Rock. Riley will especially love this because they are going on a school bus. Sam is being a good big brother and will show him the ropes. It's so funny how they argue and pick on one another, but it was just yesterday that Sam took Riley's hand and walked him to the park. These are such precious times. Thank God for my boys and family.
If you are reading this know that I miss all of you and my adopted hometown of Henderson, KY.
Have a blessed day!

we are still sluggling (not a word--just what it feels that we are doing!)through "get out of the boat" in sunday school without our fearless leader, pete! we finished the next to last lesson sunday and used you all as examples of how we are supposed to always keep our forks for what better yet to come and keep our minds open and positive. so proud of you all. love reading about you and your boys! keep on blogging!
We really miss our Sunday school class. The Mega Church that we are attending does not offer classes in the summer. We are looking forward to getting into a small group and Wednesday nights. I'm so glad to hear that you are almost finished with the book. We hope to finish it someday as well.
OBTW I love your blog and sbg, she is just precious!
